Hyper 7 PBS PCR.I have it for 6 months now, nothing broke, except of one bend shock shaft and rear shock tower, which i fixed myself.Great buggy, nice handling, not that light at the turns but works OK.
Laydown servos, don't get them, stand up servos are easier to work on!!!
What you will need from my point of view to become a racer:
-rear shock towers(stock ones are too thin)
-racing tires
-engine
-pipe
-servos(especially on front)
I think that's all!!!

Don't mean to be picky, but out of that list, only one thing comes as standard on the Pro (the shock towers) and even they, I am told, could be replaced with stronger items...everything else in fact is bought completely separately (tyres, engine, pipe, servos)... not trying to be a smartass, I just wouldn't want someone who didn't know, to read this and go and order one thinking that all that came with it...

Just bought my first Hyper 7 Pro after having Protech before. This Hyper 7 Pro is everything the protech wasn't and more. Build quality is fantastic. the only fault I can pick with this kit is the supplied throttle/brake setup so I fitted the Hop up version from Dynamite. This works a treat and for only £5 quid well worth it. I am just breaking in my new engine at the moment so can't wait to open her out and see what she can do.

Hey Madness what kind of pipe is that. It looks wicked cool aslong as you dont smash the small one.
I have the 063 pipe from OFNA I had to pur some JB Weld (a type of machinable epoxy) around my stinger becouse it got bent in when I hit a track brarrier.

A bit off topic I know but the other day while I was run testing my hyper after rebuilding my shocks, I attracted a group of kids watching my hyper and was asked the usewell question how fast does it go to which I said about 40 mph only to over hear a kid
say he had a T-maxx that would do 70 mph.[X(] I presume he meant in the back of his dads 1:1 car.

I heard there is a mod to the center diff housing so it was a lot quicker to get it out. If anyone knows where I can read this mod please let me know.
Thanx in advance

5 screws actually. The mod is to slice through the center mount horizontallyso the 2 plastic parts become 4.

I think Alex is talking about taking the diff out of the housing from the top.
In which case you need to take the rear break link out of the cam.
This I belive involves removing the grub screw from the cam. This is probably the fifth screw

LOL,
Dude, Who cares,, the point is
it's very simple already to remove the center diff.
You want to have a debate over how many screws you need to take off before the diff lifts out??
LOL.
You don't have to take any of the brake linkage apart to remove the diff,, and if you do that's just dumb because then you have to re adjust your brake linkage. Loosen the 4 diff plate screws and swing all that brake cam crap out of the way. If anything remove the servo horn and pop off the throtle linkage to get it completely out of the way.
Damn that makes 8 screws,,I was wrong,,,Happy?

How about some setups. whats everyone run for tight tracks, open tracks, etc...
I really need to get a good setup for the pbs that will work with tight turning high speed tracks
