So you just modified the mounts that came with the kit? Someone in another forum told me that the mounts from a ofna 9.5 should work because of the .26 engine it comes with. If I can just mod the stock mounts, I'll just do that.

This one was rtr, I imagine they would send the same mount for kit/rtr but I don't know for sure. I just had to remove a little material from the back/exaust side of the mount so the protruding corners of the back plate would not touch the mount. The corners on this engines back plate are square where as the back plate of the hyper 8 port was more rounded.

Oh okay. Then I should be safe. I think I'll either go with the sportwerks .26 or the SH .28. Was your engine easy to break in and tune? Does it keep a tune?

Ya its totally safe, the cutting does not weakin the mount in any way I could see. To me it is way easy to tune, but all I have to comparing it to(meaning what I own now) is the Hyper 8 port, .21 picco p2, and a trx 2.5r compared to these engines it is 10 times easier to tune. During break-in I did go through 3 glow plugs though the temps never exceeded 250', after break-in I have had no problem, same plug for 10/11 tanks now. I wish I could tell you how this engine compares to a sportwerks .26 but have never been around one. Im sure you will be happy with either, good luck! You will love the POWER[>:].
