Default Aluminum Anodizing

Anyone know of a good place to send parts to have them re-anodized? I'd like to have the Prospec aluminum re-anodized a different color and put the parts on my backup MBX5.

I don't want to mess with doing it myself.

Try a marker pen of the right colour.

P.S. it's probably cheaper to buy new bits than re-anodise them.

Marker would be a waste of time, it will wear off the 1st time you use it.
And oh by the way, you should be glad that someone bumped up your thread instead of complaining you didn't get your answer...ok now bash me because I didn't tell you where you can get anodizing done.

You guys are pretty wild.

Does anyone have an answer to my post? Maybe I should have been more clear about what I was looking for. Have any of you found a company that you can send aluminum to have it anodized? Have any of you sent it in and had it done?

lstRacerX......That company can't provide what I am looking for because they have a $500 minimum order fee.

I posted this subject to find out if any of you have personal experience with sending parts out for re-anodizing.

check your local yellow pages under metal plating and finishes... you might get lucky. I have a few times for stuff like that.

I would highly discourge anodizing at home. The process includes a number of very nasty acids and cemicals. For the avg DYI i would NOT recomend it.

Polish it, buy a new one, or if you just HAVE To have it anodized, send it out.

For those that are interested in anodizing I do it

I could probably hook a couple people up for free if they would be interested in showing off my work.

Here are some links to some of the pb markers I have done.
