I has to be obvious, theyre obviously not selling so they need to have the price lowered to compete with the compitition.

Usually you have to call Ultimate hobbies to get a lower price. You should always call the store before placing an order of this size. Alex, that has to be the reason but I still don't understand why anyone else isn't affected by this.

I think it's because the Euro and Pound are so steady against each other that we arent affected, so as Slovakia is in Europe it has to watch the Euro to US$ rate to keep it right. I'd be thankful that they are watching the markets and ARE responding.

Am I missing something???
XB8s were originaly availiable for $600... then the price went to $700 for no reason...now the price is back to $600.
Supply and demand.
It dosent matter who makes the best bucket 'O bolts... matters what they can peddle it for...and how many really hot chicks they can use to glamorize the product[X(]

People buy an xray because that is what they want. They want precision and quality. Xray is by far the best looking buggy. I don't believe anyone is going to say damn a hundred bucks less i will get one now, but i could be wrong.

Hell yes they will, 100 bucks is alot. They should drop it another 100 bucks and maybe they will get some of the mugen crowd thinking about an xray. Its a weird thing some of these buggy makers seem to introduce their product at a low price...get them out there and get a good rep and then charge a premium. Others put their product out at a high price and sell a small amount, then try to grab more of the mass market by putting a more realistic tag on it.

RE: Xray price down again??
Mugen prospec is at least a hundred buck more than the xb8 if im not mistaken. They sell at my hobby shop for over 700 bucks. Mugen people are gonna stick with mugen, i don't think xray expects to break into the mugen market. I have heard that when the xb8 was originally released it was priced less, and they wanted to be considered along the same lines and the prospec and the special buggies. So they raised the price to around the same as mugen and kyosho. I guess now they are dropping it again. Although the xb8 price has not dropped on rcamerica i don't believe. Also i agree a hundred bucks is alot of money generally speaking, but in this hobby a hundred bucks in like a twenty dollar bill. If you go buy a damn glow starter, a few plugs, a gallon of fuel and a fuel bottle, you just spent over a hundred bucks.
