A question for those that only buy pre-glued 1:8 tires
Question: If you could buy a set of FOUR Crime Fighter compatible tires (That have awesome performance) in which are mounted with foam on a set of VERY cool dish wheels but are NOT glued, would you pay $29.95 for the set of four and glue them on your own?
Please answer this one!
Thank you, Peter

why would you when you can get them for $30 already done, I've found that it makes a mess of your fingers, and sometimes they don't look right, it's just easier to get them done...Dave

How about this?
Just stop beating around the bush and post a link. I must be blind but there are no set of 4 premounted tire/rims (or even separate items) that is $30.

Correct. Added info will be posted to the site in about two weeks, which will be about two weeks before the shops start receiving them. They are a Crime Fighetr compatible thread. EVERY racer that has tested them raves about how well they hook up in the dirt and how long they last. Our sponsored racer, Mark Pyle, averages three heats with them while the other guys are changing out tires between races. I believe that Mark got 5th or 6th in the Pro-Line mains with our tires last month.
The tire has less of a top arch, so more tire in on the ground. We use a foam insert that I will not detail at this time. Also, we went out with a newer rubber material on the tires that produces a stronger sidewall.
We will be offering a special to RCU members for sets of these tires in September, as we will be a sponsor with a floating banner. My original post was NOT to sell the tires, but just get some feedback in making a decision on wheather or not to release them glued or unglued. The dealers we have pinged like the fact that they will be available as assembled but not glued, as many racers like to trim or change out the foams and glue the tires themselves.

RE: A question for those that only buy pre-glued 1:8 tires
so I can't get these until September, right? And will I be getting them directly from Performance Devices for that price, or through my LHS.
By the way, I've used your crystals in my Futaba 3PM and they've worked well. The only problem I had was w/ the fail safe function of my 203HF receiver. For some reason with fail safe initiated for the throttle servo(full brake if signal was lost), the radio and receiver would just stop communicating for no apparent reason. I never isolated the problem, ie is it the receiver, servo, transmitter, or crystal, but fixed it by not using the fail safe on the throttle servo.

RE: A question for those that only buy pre-glued 1:8 tires
We will have a one month special price for RCU members in September in parallel to getting the dealers loaded. It will probably start around the second week. Like the special we did with our temp gun, we will probably do a one-time offer (30 days only) for a set of four tires, wheels and foams for $24.95 that will include free shipping in the US.
The wheels and tire offering will also come with an offer to get any crystal set we have for $4.95 to cover shipping (Like we do with the temp guns with a reply card that comes with the product). If you get a set of 75MHz FM crystls on this offer (That have a $14.95 retail), your net price comes out $10 less! It's a great deal!........No, it's a steal!

RE: A question for those that only buy pre-glued 1:8 tires
Sounds great, some clarifying questions:
1.) Does a one time offer mean I can only buy one set of four, or that it'll only be offered for 30 days at initiation?
2.) Is the price $24.95 w/ free shipping as a special and regular price will be $29.95?
3.) Crystal sets for $4.95, is there a limit on how many I can buy (not a dealer just want multiple frequencies for racing) or is it a 1:1 ratio for tire sets and crystal sets, ie. w/ 3 tire sets can buy 3 crystal sets
Thanks,
I can't wait....yes i can, but i don't want to

1.) Does a one time offer mean I can only buy one set of four, or that it'll only be offered for 30 days at initiation? YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BUY AS MANY AS YOU WANT.
2.) Is the price $24.95 w/ free shipping as a special and regular price will be $29.95? THE SUGGESTED RETAIL AT THE HOBBY SHOPS WILL BE $29.95.
3.) Crystal sets for $4.95, is there a limit on how many I can buy (not a dealer just want multiple frequencies for racing) or is it a 1:1 ratio for tire sets and crystal sets, ie. w/ 3 tire sets can buy 3 crystal sets? ONE SET OF CRYSTALS FOR EVERY PURCHASE. WE WILL ALSO OFFER 2-PACKS OF THE TIRES WITH THE WHEELS AND A 4-PACK OF THE WHEELS ALONE. THE 4-PACK OF THE WHEELS WILL HAVE A SUGGESTED RETAIL OF ONLY $9.95. WE WILL PROBABLY HAVE A ONE MONTH SPECIAL OFFER AROUND $7.00. ALL VARIATIONS WILL HAVE THE FREE CRYSTAL OFFER. IF YOU BUY A 4-PACK OF OUR WHEELS AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CRYSTAL OFFER, THE WHEELS ARE ESENTIALLY FREE! THIS SPECIAL WILL ONLY BE USED TO GET SOME BUZZ IN THE MARKETPLACE, AS WE DO NOT LIKE TAKING ANY BUSINESS AWAY FROM OUR DEALERS, BUT THE DEALERS DO LIKE OUR EFFORTS TO DRIVE BUSINESS TO THEIR SHOPS.

No it is not. Per the initial post, I was simply asking a question until prompted to supply more information.
