Which engine, hyper or sirio?
Hi all
I am looking at buying a new .21 engine for my 1/8 buggy, I have to decide between two possibilities: Hyper 21, 8 port race, or the Sirio evo 2 engine, the hyper is less expensive and I can't afford more than the Sirio Evo 2. Any suggestions or advise will be appreciated!

Me, I'll pick the italian engine[sm=thumbup.gif], Hyper still a toki engine. You can tell the diff. about toki vs. italian engine??????????????right.
. Anyway both engine are ok, even I my self using a toki engine for bashing, like the S-25 HPI for the savage. Also I even use Mach .26 for by hyper 7 TQ Sport, and Sportwerks .26 for my Raptor. For on-road 8th scale, that, I use RB Concept s7c.

If those are your two choices go sirio over hyper for sure. I just picked up a Werks Collari B3 for 160.00 on ebay and it is excellent quality.

The hyper is a good engine, but the carb is junk. The o-rins in the MSN go out fast. You will have to rebuild it often or get a OS 20e carb.
I ran mine with the OS carb and it ran great!

Novarossi has a new engine out now, the N12B I think. It makes some good power, real smooth for somewhere around $200. I'd go with that because Novarossi's are notorious for being good reliable power plants, and now they're affordable. heh.
