You mean turbo as in turbo-charged or you mean turbo as in the stupid name used for conical plugs?

turbo plugs are supossed to give you a broad tuneing range and more rpms. ive ran both turbo and regular plug engines and will never go to turbo plugs again they dont last very long and are much more exspencive than regular plugs. and there is not a glow igniter in the world that will lock down and stay so you can start the engine. this is just my opinion

yeah, turbo plugs suck. They are $7-8 a peice. You have to wrench down on the *******s so tight to get them to seal too, I almost stripped the head on my v-spec.

it's the shape of the bottom of the head button more than the plug....the dome is supposed to give you a smoother combustion by distibuting or directing the ignition in a cone shaped chamber....they don't last too long unless you are a master tuner......the plug seems to like consistency and if you are anal about your engine tuning they last...but who wants to keep retuning their stuff that much right?

Turbo plugs are turbo plugs but there is a difference between a turbo engine and a regular engine and it has nothing to do with "turbo" plugs. They make the plug a little different and call it a turbo plug...lol An engine thats listed as a turbo engine usually has special cuts machined into the crankshaft to help with airflow through the engine and make more power and rpm.

EB4. you can get a standard head engine w/ a turbo cut in the crank as well, My P5 is cut and so is my VZ-b (not the V-spec) neither uses turbo plugs....the only definative difference is the combustion chamber shape.....

i dremel all my cranks for my rc10gt and buggy, it only makes sense to make things easier on your engine, like "consistency" as well as airflow the upmost important thing about an engines power. after you have ported your crank you will think your engine has a turbo-charger. it just depends on how exstencive you go. make your you got the right angle and timing. to make a base judgment looking at the crank with it at TDC it should be around 4 or 5 o'clock and about a 15degs into the crank. lol figure that one out
