Hi,
Got a little problem with my Hyper 7, everytime the buggy lands, and any pressure is put on the wing, the diff casses just snap where the wing mounts, no alloy available, how do you guys get around this problem?
Thanks

Instead of that long bolt through the W backet. Use a front shock shaft. The is also an alloy W bracket available too, normally found on Ebay. Otherwise just stop landing on the wing.

My Feedback: (158)
I'd sure like to see where this breakage is happening,,
Been running the h7 for over 3 years and never broke a diff case or the so called "W bracket" aka REAR WING SUPPORT,,,althou about a year ago I bagged the stock bolts and started using larger dia. 8-32 bolts for the wing mount and the shock tower, they don't work there way loose anymore
Good luck

Here are a few piccys:

In the above pic, a rectangle is around the screw that bends and a circle where the diff case snaps.

Previous snapped diff case.

Just got all the pics as direct links to help those 56k'ers who may still be lurking around.

The easy option is to get the Pro UK shock towers. This may require the swapping out of your diff cases for the six screw type. This will stop the lugs snaping off and ifn the long run end up cheaper.

I've got it on vid, it was over a 3 ft ramp, and the car started, 3 maybe 4 foot behind the ramp, very little air, 5ft max.

Try the PCR rear brace. This will eliminate bending those rear bolts, and give you the support that you need from the rear chassis brace. It's made of metal, and eliminates the need for that rear spacer. Try the link below.

I believe what's happening is when you hit, the plastic support is flexing too much, plus the screw bending, putting too much pressure on the tabs sticking up on the diff case. If the rear brace was replaced with the one above, it wouldn't give much, thus putting some of the shock on the chassis brace, and taking alot off the rear diff tabs.
