Default Jammin X1CR RTR Problem Please Help

I am new to 1/8 scale (have savage, rs4, nitro boat) so im not quite new. I just bought the JAMMIN X1CR RTR and put what I had to put together, went out to my local parking lot, and started it, started right up, let warm up a few mins. Then I tried to give a little throttle to make it move, wouldnt go any where. checked to make sure brakes werent on, nothing there. Started it back up reved up wont go any where. Picked up rear end, car wants to go in reverse, picked up front end car wants to go forward???????? Is this normal? It seems like the center diff is fighting each end. Set back on ground, tried reving it a few more times and could smell clutch burning so kinda gave up for now. Any help would be appreciated.

And if you lifted the car totally from the ground, would the back and front wheels rotate the opposite way??

Then it has to be a diff-problem.

When the engine isn't started, can you push the buggy forward without any significant resistance?

Did you buy it locally?

Sounds like you have the rear diff in the wrong way round.

I rebuilt my diffs and put the rear in backwards....the same problem. I would take it back and exchange or take the opportunity to take it apart and put silicon in the diff. I

davef00 == Yep sounds like the diff (the rear most likely) is in backwards. If you purchased it new and just got it - I wouldn't take it apart -- take it back to the store and get a new one.

What part of Michigan do you live in? I grew up in the Detroit area.

Thank you everybody, I took the front diff out (which was going backwards) and turned around, took about 45 mins, finally got to drive it. runs pretty good, now just have to learn to tune engine.

my only concern was that if you worked on it that you may void a warrenty etc... but sounds like you are in good shape -- enjoy that buggy.
