Default are leaking gas tanks common?

finally started my car for the first time tonight. Noticed though a lot of feul on the chassis and all around the fuel tank. New to the ntro scene, is this normal for fuel to come out or not? I think its coming from the lid, but am going to take it apart and check for any cracks.

Nope, the fuel system should be airtight. If fuel can get out then air can get in.

Which car is it? Check all your fuel tubing. And if it is by chance a TTR EB4 S3 than super glue your tank nipples.

LMFAO
leaky tanks are fairly common if the car is old...my X-terminator and XXXNT AD2 need new o rings in the fuel tank lids.

well, nipples are glued. Just not on the car. I have a Hyper 7pr. Should they be glued on? It definately looks like its coming out from under the cap. Wasn't even driving it, just shaking it from trying to start it. The front universals are wrong for the car so when I call Ofna tomorrow I'll ask them about that also.

Have you got the o-ring in the tank lid? You may need to tighten the scew on the inside of the lid down a little!
This will make the o-ring spread a little and make a better seal with the neck of the tank.

yeah I just did that last night, then held it upside down, didn't look like it was leaking, so hopefully that will work. Thanks.

that helps
once you get fuel going through it swells abit
if i dont run my buggy for like a couple of weeks the seal is loose so i fill up half way and drive around and it eventually seals back up to normal but i had the same problem also
