Default Kyosho Inferno MP 7.5

Hey everyone,

I have a Smartech Winner 3 with the 2 speed tranny, and a Ofna LX. And I thnik it is time for me to have a new buggy. So I think I will get a Inferno. So in this thread, you will be able to talk about your inferno, tell what upgrades you have.

Thanks

I've got a Kanai III and it's a great buggy. I like it more than the newer 777 but it's getting harder to get parts for it.

I have the MP 777 and think it is great. I had an ofna MBX pro which was a good buggy to learn on -- but there is a huge difference in between the ofna and the 777.

well -- speed is based on gearing and engine etc - so that is not a real fair comparison -- but I believe that the 777 rolls much easier. The 777 is a very touchy/sesitive buggy to steer/drive - some people like that and others don't. What I did was to dial out some of the steering and made myself take the turns by slowing down, using correct trigger etc... and then I dialed the steering back up a notch or two. Jumping -- well with our ofna's jumping was an experience -- the 777 jump so nice and straight and with the long travel shocks they really absorb the landings and everything else.

Don't get me wrong - our ofna's were great (still are) but heavier and harder to drive. Now - all that being said -- I don't think that my driving skills a year ago would have been able to handle the 777 or appreciate the difference in both buggies.

I have a 777 SP1. It handles and jumps great, it is 100 times better then the inferno RTR i had. The only upgrades i got was:

1. Titaniumfront and rear chassis braces
2. Pro-Line wing
3. Motor Saver Air filter
4. Racers Edge Brake discs
5. Racers edge front knuckles

The 7.5 is more forgiving to drive. The 777 feels more responsive and requires a more 'careful' and 'smooth' driving style.
I don't know a better way of saying it.

The reason you are seeing so many of us jump in with comments on the 777 is that it basically replaced the 7.5 when it came out. Now the 777 has been replaced with the 777 Special 1 and now the Special 2 version.

If you really want to know more about the MP 7.5 SMANMTB is a great source as he has both a 7.5 and the Spec 1. He is also a very good driver and in his real life an engineer -- so you will get very good answers from him based on his background and experience driving both buggies.

You should do some searching.

There is no 777 rtr.

And it would help if you said which 7.5 you want information about!

i think he is talking about the 2 rtr 7.5 buggies.

the orange winged one is the blue one with a few upgrades, different body, wheels and wings, and costs more than the blue one.

Wow Joel, feels like I have to start charging for answers now.

Seriously, what I said before is true. The 777 feels more responsive than the 7.5. Both are great buggies. The SP2 version of the 777 with its 4 mm longer chassie is supposed to 'calm' it down a bit. But I haven't tried the SP2 so I can't say. The claim makes sense since a longer wheelbase will give you more stability, it's harder for the car to turn.
