I once had this probablem before with my LX Comp, so I went to change the batteries, and I found that my battery case was broke,so you may have the same probablem or not but that is what I did.

You could have broken the on/off switch. Its happened to a few people I know with the hyper buggies.

If you are useing the AA reciever batteries Ditch them and get a 5 cell Reciever pack. I had that happen a couple of times and since I went to a rechargeable pack no problems since.

exhaust spring is too stiff....

Go to the local hardware store and pick out a spring that is kind of soft, but not too soft... If your throttle servo is weak, get a soft one... Then run it from the carb ball end on the arm to the high speed needle... Turn on your car and make sure your servo can pull it to full throttle... You may need to adjust your EPA.. If it can't you need a softer spring... If it can, move to the next step... This is to hold it full throttle and turn off the RECEIVER... The servo should return to idle (hence !QUOT!throttle return spring!QUOT!)... If it doesn't quite make it or not at all, trim the spring slowly until it does... You might need a stronger servo though if it is weak...

A zip tie around the AA holder will not work for long... I used to do that until the whole thing broke and I had a bad runaway... Invest in a rechargeable pack and it will save you money over time and the headache of a runaway...
