Hyper 7 engine attachment
Hi there,
I was "flying" my hyper 7 yesterday but once again the engine rotated to the left and the clutch-shoe got killed -again- just like the big wheel.
I am not able to properly attach the engine to the base-plate.
I am curious if there is someone who can give me advise. I used all power[sm=punching.gif] knowledge[sm=bananahead.gif]and
respect[sm=RAINFRO.gif] to keep the engine in place but .....
many thanks

Maybe you just need a model plane.
In all seriousness, go back to your manual, build your car correctly and use threadlock.. Not a lot else to say bruv'...

If you already used threadlock on the screws then try some on the plate and base.It might help a little.OR get a new plate if something is wrong with the one you have now!

RE: Hyper 7 engine attachment
what plate you're talking about ? is it engine mount lower plate or flywheel ?
i think you shouldn;t use any thread lock for engine mount (especially the red one, god it'll kill you).
if you keep breaking your clutch shoe, try to use MBX-5 clutch shoes and its spring (with OFNA clutch bell).
i use them now and it work great.
and if you keep loosening your engine mount screw, may be you need a new one (engine mount).
thx

Thanks for all the good advise!!
Uh I think you got a point here. I have been releasing the screws several times now. Maybe I need new one!!
For the other question:
I am talking about the bottomplate not the enginemount.
And uh why is this red stuff going to kill me??
thanks

The Red loctite is high strength. Use this only on screws/bolts you do not want to remove. This is a permanent thread locker, that loctite says requires heat to remove. So, don't use it on any part of your car you don't want to take a torch to (which rules out most screws).
