I have an inferno mp7.5 and finished break in. Trying to tune the motor but cant seem to get it to lean enough to run at full speed. Can go to about half throttle and if i increase anymore the engine bogs(due to being too rich) and dies on me. What are some good needle settings to try and lean it out some more and run it safely. The motor is a gx.21. Its getting quite frustrating cuz the engine doesnt want to lean. I know its not hte temps here to warm for it to richen itself due sto the cold. any help would be appreciated. BTw if you want to get into 1/8 scale or know someone who wants a pretty good rtr to start in, the inferno sport is pretty nice. I had interference the other day and ran up a curb about 20-25 mph and didnt break a thing on it. Good learning car.

I'd suggest leaning the HSN (that's the one that sticks up). But if you go too far then it will cut out from lean bog.
SO before you lean any more. Try richening up the needles and see if that helps as you may have gone in too far already.

set its factory setting first,
HSN 3-4 turns out
LSN about 5 turns out
and set your HSN first until you don't get any booging sounds again (do it very carefull byt turning the screw very2x slowly about 1/8 turn coz buggy's engine is very sensistive).
If you finished the first step, then set your LSN.
get it to full throttle and let it go off throtlle for about 5 seconds. if the engine stall after that then your LSN need to be leaned a little. if the engine sound raise then your LSN is too lean. after that you could set your idle RPM with you idle screw.
it's simplest method that i use and work okay with me.
i recomend you to get temp measurement tools since it's really important for buggy's driver.
BTW, id you don't have it. drop some wter to the head and if they evaporate about 1-2 second then your engine is running hot but remember that every engine has different gottest point.
good luck
