I made a list a while ago for new people to get in on a decent budget, that still had quality components. Here is the reverse, if you got paid to drive your car, what eqiptment would you have (budget need not apply)? Substitute your answers in place of mine (cut, paste).
-Kit
Hyper 7 PCR Pro in C-Hub layout (always wanted to make the underdog a champion)
-Engine
OS V-Spec (perhaps with RG carb instead if possible, as I hate three needle setups)
-Pipe
OS 2050
-Radio
Nomadio Sensor
-Servos
Steering: Airtronics 94359
Throttle: Airtronics 94360
-Starter Box
OFNA Chrome Top
-Fuel
Byrons 30% Race
-Charger
MRC Super Brain 977
-Extras
Converted to stand up servo.
Black OFNA Hyper wheels (I like the warped star look)
Pro Line Crowd Pleazer for Hyper
Probably around $1800.00 all told I would guess not counting spare parts.

Kit: MBX5 Prospec
Engine: RB WS7II
Pipe: 063 inline with power racing long header
Radio: Helios with spektrum module
Servos: Sanwa ERG-VX and VRX
Starter Box: Thunder Tiger chrome
Charger: Simprop Intelli Control
Fuel: Homemade with 25% nitromethane and 10% oil (8% castor)
Extras: Carbon fiber stone guards, personal transponder, modified radio box to take a flat pack for lower CG, homemade wheel scrapers out of carbon fiber, milled out chassis braces, Sniper RC two-piece engine mount, aluminium rear chassis brace holder, Power-Save-Racing filter elements.
Oh wait a minute, I already got that...
But I guess if cost wasn't an issue I'd add that K-Factory tuning chassis and the fioroni wheel scrapers, along with a modified C5C.

I have lost my mind and spend way too much money and now am broke for the rest of my life, but i really did want to actually have my dream set up.
Kit: Xray xb8 (with every alum. hop up u can get, yes go to option parts on the team xray website and i really have all of them)
Engine: Nova Rossi p5x
Pipe: JP1
Radio: Jr Z1 (with the spektrum kit)
Servos: jr 8800 T (steering) jr 8800 S (throtle)
Starter Box: the all chrome ofna one
Battery: Venom Racing flat pack
Transponder: amg personal transponder
Charger: duratrax ice
And the sad thing is i just did all this again with the lightning stadium truggy with all the king headz stuff and the xray m18t with all the mamba stuff.
Yes it is true, my wife did leave me and thats why i bought all this to try to make myself feel better, it didn't work. Unfortunately i still miss her.

Even though I love my kyosho I'd run the XB8. Like I've said a few times before it has so many adjustments to dial in your setup perfectly and really help you find the grip and balance where you need it again especially for pro ranking stuff. The hyper of corse is no slouch but most racers like something with more aggressive handling and a lot less weight. The hyper is a full pound heavier than any other top of the line kit out there. This really hurts your acceleration and braking distance.

I'm working on my dream set-up
I'm working on my dream set-up
. What MP777 is that? Here is my setup.
Buggy: Kyosho Inferno MP777
Engine: Polished Dynamite Mach .26
Pipe: JP-2
Radio: JR XS3
Tires: Most used are Proline Crime Fighers and Cell Blocks if the loose dirts cleared off a little more.
Servos: Futaba S3305 steering and throttle
Batt: Team Orion 1400 marathon 5cell.
Starter box: Ofna True Start
Fuel: Dynamite Blue Thunder race 20%
Diffs: 5k front/ 7k center/ 3k rear
Clutch bell: 13-t
A few small adjustments to shock position and roll center.
When I get the money I'll have Racers Edge chassis, shock towers, and chassis braces. This setup has won me 2nd place today against a sponsored driver who can and has hung with the pros. Very close race... we were dead even I just couldn't find a way by him.

Chassis: Jammin X1CR (well I've already got that....) So a new one w/all the hop ups!
Engine: Axe Rossi LSK, hand modded and fitted by the guys in Italy
Pipe: Rossi Magic adjustable pipe
Servos: The expensive Airtronics ones, lol. I'll be ordering those soon...
Radio: Nomadio sensor
Starter Box: Definately not the Ofna chrome top! I've got one and I hate it! I'd go for the trusty 'ol Ofna pink box
Batteries: Li-po everything
Tires: Every pro-line, Panther, Advantage racing, and Treadz tire avaliable with a set of each different compound, and variants with different foams and wheels as well! I'd of course get someone to glue them for me. God I love tires....
Body: I'd get Charlie Barns free licsence and let him go crazy painting 4-5 different bodies up for me
OR My real dream would be to build a Brushless buggy with 8000mah li-po's Plettenburg motor, Schulze ESC, and tons of custom carbon/aluminum parts! Which would be insanely expensive as well.
