Default Snapped drive shaft!!

I've just been in my garden with the Hyper and all of a sudden I loose power. I thought one of the shafts had popped out, to my supprise I found it in two pieces in the dirt. It is one of the rear ones and it has snapped clean in two.
Has this happened to any one else? What on earth can cause this, I wasn't even jumping it!

you shouldn't put big block engine to your buggy.
get a race .21 buggy engine isntead of big block.

well, i think buggy wasn't designed for big blocks with their monster torque.

if you keeping breake your Rear Center CVA, replace them with mip CVD.
personally i like CVA better than CVD.
CVA could handle worst abuse that CVD

another posibility is that your chassis could bent and made your drive shaft was under pressed/stressed too much.

Another thing I noticed about ofna is their drive shafts seem to be really weak. My dogbones wore out within 2 months being cleaned after every raceday or running and proper maintanance. I sujest getting univerasal drive shafts... there are a lot stronger than dog bones and they give you more consistant power to the ground instead of the dog bone moving around in the cups. I never had a problem with the diffs though.

Anything .20 and above is consisdered a big block and your buggy should be able to handle almost whatever you feel like putting in it without breaking drive tran parts.

A point I must agree with. Plus the fact that most Racing .21s provide more power and torque than the big BORE mills is not a reason to only use .21s.

But if you are running a high torque engine and raging it hard, then these shafts have been known to snap. This said though I have only managed to twist all 6 shafts on the Hybrid Twin. Never snaped one but I have seen it happen during races when the buggies are receiving the most grief. You either have an extremly powerful engine or you had the aluminium shafts in there. Dont worry it's not just a Hyper problem, mugen, kyoshos and many others suffer this.
