Help me decide what to get :-D

OK after beeing out of rc for a little while ive decided its time to get a new rc. Im leaning tward a buggy possobly a onroad like a tc3 and maybe a savage. But for now im just going to look at what i can get buggie wise. Would like to spend about 400 usd and no more than 500. I dont think ill be raceing much if any maybe every once in a while at the local track, I have alot of parking lot and road driveing room around me so i was thinking maybe something i could do a little onroad with that would be fairly fast 45-50? but also be able to go bash with out sacriface. But will all this onroad driveing room is why ive been kinda looking at an onroad. Any way the Hyper 7 looks realy nice pritty popualr and parts seam to be easy to find, also looks to be a fur hopups avalibe from the look of it more than other buggies. I would like to know of any other nice fast buggys are avalable at this price point thow. I sold bacicly all my nitro stuff so ill need bacicly every thing, all i have left is a fue odds and ends.
Any and all siggestions apresheated, Also if any one knows of any hot deals right now eather at an online store, ebay or a forum that thay could provide a link to that would be great!

My suggestion...do you have a good and trust worthy LHS?? then go to them see what parts they carry and then make your
decision...just my 2 cents!!

My LHS is pritty nice, not realy big but they have a good slewction of stuff, And if they dont have something there more than happy to order it.
After reading a but on the 2 speed it dosent sound like it would be a good idea for offroad, whitch im sure i will do some of. I was thinking about going with the hyper 7 TQ and getting a better engine (if my buget permits) As ive herd the stock one dosent last to long. So If i where to get the TQ whitch runs about $220 and for now probly just a cheper radio around $50 is there any engine i could get that will the right gearing could push 50mph? Granted it dosent take a mile to get there and its still in my price range.
Also do all the hyper 7's have the same engine, becides the TQ? Whats the diffrentce between the TQ and pro becides the pro haveing an engine? I know the PBS has a pillow ball suspenchon but anything els? And whats diffrent on the PRC?
Sorry for all the questions, Thanks!

I just bought a CEN Matrix. It was 440 at my LHS The motor is decent and the radio is very nice (airtronics MX-3), although it doesn't come with a reciever pack. I would check them out.

I just got my Mayhem and I like it so far. I also have a savage and a schumacher fusion. You might want to take a look at the ofna ravenger. It has a .28 motor on it.

i don't know if you've read this yet but here's a little more info on the mayhem.

personally i would go with the jammin, it has a decent engine, and has lots of hop ups available. but it would need some better quality servos and a transmitter . the stock electronics are fine if your just bashing or driving in a parking lot but if your planning on racing, you should get better electronics. both the jammin and the mayhem are great buggies. there is also the matrix, thats a pretty good buggy and it comes with a real nice transmitter, look into that buggy also. i would stick with those three buggies. whichever one you pick you will have fun with.

I just ordered the Hyper 7 TQ Kit. I also ordered a OS RG .21 For $109. Good motor as people on here would say, I havent actually heard anything bad about it yet.
I picked up the TQ kit from Tower for $229 and the motor for $109 then $30 discount for spending over $300 and $7.95 shipping, gets here on the 5th.

oh yeah and im down to about 400ish... so the mayhem is probly out of the picture.
Bacicly what would be the best thing to get for 400? also is it possable to have a hyper 7 thats just as good speed/handleing wise as a mayhem or jammin whith some upgrades?
