ofna servo
Hola. I have an OFNA lx pro and I am wondering if anyone else has issues wit the steering servo? Its not bad or anything, it just isnt as tight turning as I would like. Am I just being a poop head or is this common? if its common, does anyone have any suggestions for new servos with good power? thanks

i have an lx comp and i ended up buying a new high torq steering servo because the servos stunk. Get some Jr servos, there pretty good and i havent had a problem yet

If you want a servo that will last you a long long time, and is great get a JR DZ9000S digital servo, but it is a little expensive the cheepest price ive ever found was $110 on

Most servo are an improvement over the ofna servos.
$90-$110 will get you the best servos you can buy.
$50 will get you some good servos.
whats your budget?
what are you doing bashing racing?
what batteries are you using in the car. 4aa or a rechargerble 5 cell pack?
what radio are you running?
JR, KO, FUTABA, AIRTRONICS are all good servos if you can afford them.
you will be looking for a servo which has about 120OZ of torque for steering and a speed of .15 secs or better.
$90-$110 will get you the best servos you can buy.

RIght now I dont have a budget because I have to buy a new PC and Im broke.
Eventually I want to give it a complete overhaul. As of now, its completely stock and Im running 4 AA batts but I plan to change all of that. I dont know when I will be buying my servo, but thanks for the info, now I can start a list.

if your running all stock stuff you will need to be careful with the high end servos. Just things like the current drain from them would probably cause havoc trying to run them on 4.8V and and not being able to adjust your epa properly with a 200oz servo will cause problems. And I don't think digital servos mix well with am recievers and BEC circuits.
I'ld just make sure you check it all out before buying a $100 servo and finding out it doesn't like your reciever and pulls your radio tray of the chasis when you turn a corner.
I didn't have those sort of problems 'cause when i first fried a servo it was the throttle and it put in to a nice pool of water. so i went straight from rtr equipment too pretty much top of the line in one hit. [8D]
