Im looking for a great steering servo that will last me a long time. im thinking of getting the Jr DZ 9000s, but im worried it might not have enough toruq. If there is some other servo out there thats almost as fast and has more torque could you tell me about it.

the airtronics 358 (actually, the 94358, i think) has 200oz/in at 6v and .1 sec/60degrees. this servo is great and is considered by many to be the bench mark. and the 357 is used on throttle (125oz/in and .07sec/60deg). and im not saying that bc i own both, but many will back me up.

How about that JR servo with 320 oz-in torque, and .1 transit times?
When you get a fast servo, the steering will turn very fast, and it may be very touchy when you use it. You'll have to get used to that. But you can adjust the touchiness of the servo with the dual rate adjustment.

I run the Airtronics 94359z or Sanwa 94359z (same servo) Same specs as the 94358 but with an aluminum case to dissapate the heat. I went through several good servos priced 40-90 dollars and this one has lasted me 12 gallons so far.

Personally I use JR8611 for steering (that's been replaced by a newer model number now) and a Futaba S9451 for throttle/brake.....basically any airtronics/sanwa, KO propo, or JR top shelf servo will do it.....I looked at the transit times and decided on my combo and they have yet to fail me in 3 different RCs all having close to 20 gallons of fuel on the 3 combined.....for steering I don't want anything faster than .13.....they react too spastic when you get faster ones...and the throttle/brake you want super fast.......and 160 oz torque for stering......130 for T/B......
