i would suggest the mayhem for a good solid starter buggy. This link is to a package with a mayhem rtr and other items you need to get started.

Those 2 selection are completely different class. You cant really compare them. Anyways, i have a Matrix for quiet some time now. IT is the Best RTR buggy out there.. no doubt about that. The performance and durability are just awesome. Not to mention the Airtronics MX3 radio it comes with.
As far as the GTX2, i wuoldnt recommed it becuase 2 motor is always a pain in the a**.. especially for beginnners.. not to mention there is really no benefits of running 2 motors.
