I have a Novarossi Rex R21b engine in my Hyper 7 PCR RTR, and i dont know what the break-in setting should be for the LSN. I set the MSn and the HSN, just like i always do (high speed needle 2.5 turns out, MSN very slightly in from flush with carb) but the LSn is the one im having the problems with. The way i set the LSN on my other engine was 2 turns out form flush, but with this carb once it wont go past the flush mark. I keep on screwing and it doesnt do anything, so i obviously need to set this differently. what should i set it to??

Most engines have different carb settings NEVER mess with them before you run the engine. Leave the needles where they were when you took it out of the box and then adjust them as you need to during break in.
Edit: Stock needle settings are always set rich so you don't hurt the engine and make sure you keep it rich (not stalling out rich just make sure it holds an idle and you can run it around at a low RPM without it stalling). If the engine temp wont come up to atleast 200F then wrap the head with something untill it does and keep the engine temp between 200F and 230F.

I know how to break in an engine, and since ive already turned the L:Sn settings, because i tried like 50 times to get the engine started and it wouldnt. So i messed with the needle settings. I know people know what the setting should be, when i asked about my old Hyper .21 8-port like a million people on thsi site told me what the break-in settings are so there should be people who know the settings for this engine.

Sorry I assumed you didn't even try to run the engine. Some kid did that at our local track with a mac .21 and just screwed that motor up badly... I still don't understand how he screws up his engines the way he does because they run... its just impossible to tune them no matter what you do.
Remember if it was set to rich from the start its going to take a bit for that fuel to get cleared out so just keep it running as long as you can and tweak the needles as you go untill its running smooth. Hopefully you get your information from novarossi soon.

Oh yeah, if your motor still has the flat head screw driver screws for the backplate and the head I highly recommend getting a screw kit from www.tonysscrews.com. I got the one for the P5 for my N21BF and it worked out awesome. Less chance of stripping the screws.
