I'm looking for a new buggy for the season. Between the Mayhem and Hyper8, which is more durable, and driveable? I have not seen the Hyper 8 in action, but like the handling and durablilty of the Mayhem alot.
Thoughts?

Well,
I had a Sportwerks Mayhem Pro buggy and it treated me really well. I have no complaints at all over it. I got a Jammin X1-CR Factory Team kit to replace the Mayhem and it is built alot better than the Mayhem, and handles better as well.
I also got a Hyper 8 and have yet to run it, but the Jammin handles great and they have great factory support (www.jamminproducts.com). I've beat the snot out of the Jammin and have yet to break anything on it. Then again, back to the building part. The Jammin seems to be built better than the Hyper 8, but that doesn't mean that the Hyper 8 isn't durable. Like I said, I am more than happy with the Jammin, and I am sure that the Hyper 8 is a great buggy as well.
But, back to your original question, I would give the Hyper 8 a shot. It has more adjustability built into the kit than the Mayhem, the Hyper 8 has captured hinge pins......big plus with me. Alot of graphite......it just seems finished better than the Mayhem. After having the Mayhem and getting a Hyper 8.....I am more impressed with the Hyper 8 over all more than the Mayhem.
Get the Hyper 8......

I`d try the Hyper 8 . I also have a Mayhem Pro and Jammin`Pro and both have been really good buggies . I just sold my Jammin` to buy a Hyper 8 . I want to use the Mayhem for bashing and playing around and use the Hyper 8 in place of the Jammin` for racing . Don`t get me wrong , the Mayhem is a great racer , but from what I`ve seen and heard the Hyper 8 is going to be better on the track .

Hyper 8 is the best deal going right now , and you know there will be a slew of PCR option parts coming out soon (not that you need 'em). I raced my for the first time this weekend and loved it. The track got super blown out by the mains and the massive rear droop the H8 has soaked it up !! The car also jumps perfectly. I had some hideous crashes and broke NOTHING!!!! so far so good. Ron
