Default Electronics Freak out when engine is touched with metal object?

I run a Hyper 8 with the novak synthesized system in my M8 radio. What causes the electronics in the car to get all freaked out when I put my glow starter on and/or I touch a metal object to the cylinder head? Other then this issue the system works fine. I just put in a new novak synthesized receiver as my old one was doing some funny things when the engine was at wide open throttle due to the vibrations.

I have a FM radio and I get the same problem, AM makes zero difference.

Check all the wires, servos and the switch wires. I had a switch wire that was worn (I think it got pinched by the reciever cover) and the same thing happened. Not saying its the switch wire, but my bet is one is worn thus given you the glitches...GL

I've never seen this happen with anything other than AM, so it's a bit odd.

Happens to me even if I touch the head with a metal object while the engine is off, but it causes no interference while driving, so it doesn't bother me. And I have an AM radio.
