Default hurricane xp

have a hurricane xp can nebody tell me how i can keep running it cranks but only run for short time its sputters in lokks like there are bubbles in my feul line am i running to lean or rich or have pin hole in feul line n also wen running feul comes out of muffler need help greatly

Bubbles in the fuel line is not good dude, replace the tubing first, if still bubbling replace the tank.

I had a similar problem with bubbles in the fuel line. First of all my kit's line was roughly a little over 2 inches to long. Not even trimmed down. I trimmed the line down. And though some air bubbles remained, I still got it running and pulling a steady stream by shortening the hosing down a lot.

Also check to make sure your tank lid is sealing when you close it. If you just let it seal under it's own pressure Ive noticed sometimes still doesn't completely seal. So pushing it down helps ensure on my XP that it's closed.

When fuel is coming out of the ehuast pipe under early acceleration, that should mean your LSN adjustment is to rich. Since it sounds like you just got the car, its rich from the factory for protection durning the break in peroid. The manual recommends for the .28 SH engine version of the XP, to use a glow plug ignitor on the engine while you are running it if it can not maintain running while the initial break in peroid requires running the LSN that rich. This is important as the rich will help keep your engine safe while its being broken in. As you go through the manual you slowly tune it, so that the LSN runs leaner and doesn't stall out under acceleration.

Although the manual sucks, there is a link on this forum for the proper break in method and tunning of the SH .28 version of the XP. If you have that one I'll post the link here.

yep you could have a small pin hole in your line

where are the bubbles coming from, the tank end of the line or the carb end?

if bubbles appear at the tank end first then the air leak is from that end of the line. the cap may not fit tight (adjust, or new seal), the fitting itself may not be tight (check and tighten if needed), the line may not fit to the nipple tight (use zippie tie or buy fuel line clamps to cinch tube)

if bubbles come from the carb end first then your leak is here. tube may not be tight on nipple (zippie tie or fuel line clamp), carb may not be seated properly (loosen side bolt for carb, push down on carb w/thumb retighten)

if you have a filter then the leak could be from here too. check for the fitting issue (use zippie tie or clamp), make sure the filter is closed properly and tight.

these are cheap checks that you should do first. they've all been issues for me before at one time or another. cost nothing but may fix the problem

fuel from the exhaust is a tuning problem. tune her up a little.. good luck
