I usually show up to the track 3 hours early on race days and work on my setup and lines.
Race 2-4 times a month depending on work, kid, drag racing, and other stuff.

I'm just like you guys, for off road, and used to race on road on the opposite weekends. Recently the local on road program has really slowed down, so I've been focusing on my 8th scale buggy. I only practice right before the races too, and really should get out there more often.(going back and forth between off and on road can really throw a monkey wrench in your driving style/technique) Unfortunatly, mother nature is a little chaotic this time of year down here, so every chance I've had, I got rained out. Now I just gotta win the lotto so I can afford to put a roof over the track...

I am still retro and rocking an Kanai 2 with an RB S7. I will probably buy a newer Kyosho this winter but I saw no point yet. When my driving gets to the point I can take advantage of the newest cars and fastest motors, I will buy them. Until then, I rock what I got

I race just about every weekend and get there a couple hours before the race to practice and check things out. A few times we did not have enough people to race so I just practice. When it cools off I am hoping to be at the track twice a week one for practice and experimenting with different set ups then the other day to race. My first buggy Hyper 8 will be here tomorrow but I have been messing with nitro RC for 6 years. Right now I am racing a Savage and HPI MT. I am sure any racer will tell you how important practice is.

I try to race everyother week and practice one a month or whenever I think I need to make a change to the car. i try not to make too big of set up changes on race weekend, just adjust my driving to conditions. Of coarse, if things are way off and the track is torn up, I will make set up changes as necessary.
If I can not make it to the races Sat night, I try to at least practice that week.
I have one full race and 3 practive nights with my Jammin X1FTE w/hyper 8 port motor. My track has 4 classes, beg, nov, ama, expert. I race nov right now.

In the summer, I race once a month and practice once or twice in between. In the winter I race about 3 times a month and practice once a week. For electric racing I have a T4 and a B4. Both open division. For nitro, I race 1/8 buggy (MBX-5) and monster truck (Revo).
