Default Any one running this engine?

Wondering if any one is running the SH 21 pro buggy engine and what they think? Is it easy to tune, hold a tune, durability and so on. Thanks.

the older onese were crap, but the current generation ones are really good. SH are now making engines for LRP and Nosram, so thier quality has gone up alot now.

It appears to have identical moarkings to the motor that came with my Mayhem Pro. Only difference is the color of the head.

As far as I'm aware the SH.21 and sportwerks engines are the same. They are certainly made by the same manufacturer

I swear by the SH .21 6 & 8 port engines . I can stay right with the expensive $300-400 engines . SH makes engines for Sportwerks , XTM , LRP , and a few others . The castings are the same but the internals are different .

Any new inputs on the SH .21 P8 engines?

The P8 is an onroad engine .
I run the SH 8 port in my Losi 8IGHT and love it . Has a lot of power and runs smooth and you can`t go wrong with it .

How is it compared to other engines on bottom-mid-and top end?

Between the 6 and 8 port , they are about the same on bottom and mid , the 8 has little more mid and a lot more top end . The P8 for onroad is designed for the RPMs to be high a lot of the time , unlike most 1/8 buggies unless you are on a huge track .

True , but buying an SH saves you $60 . You are paying extra for a blue head and the Dynamite name .

I used to buy mine from Hobby People , but some reason they are not carring them anymore . Only place I found thats cheap and very fair on shipping is www.Rcmart.com which is Dinball on ebay . Or if your LHS has an account with Global Hobby . SH engines is just starting to get recognized in he U.S. and sure someone will pick up the SH line soon .

rcmart is the worst dealer in the world. they have "cheap" prices, but what you do not know is that they make up for it in the shipping fees. IT takes a long time to get your product... just imagine what if you get the wrong product! you have to send it back, wait about a month to resolve the issue. They can hardly speak english, which really is going to hurt you if you need customer service.

you'll see rc site competitions banning other sites with links to rcunion, dinball, rcmart and the like because they are all related.

just spend the 220 bucks and get it at horizon hobby or hobby town.

Thought I was the only one that had problems with them. Not only that they charge extra to use a credit card which they call a banking fee $10. The few times I have used them which will never happen again I would get 3 different totals and never new for sure what the total was till my credit card was charged. [:@]

My STS D21B works fine.

I see this when I started this thread they where not this hard to get and was going to try one just for comparison sake. Yes SH makes a good engine but if the support is not there then it does not matter.

Well , I`ve always had great succes with Rc Mart[Dinball] . Not only the engines, but parts , glow plugs and many transactions with them . Too bad you guys had a bad experiance . I normally get things with in 7 days and at least for my orders , shipping was fair . They even overnighted an engine for my 8ight so I could race it the following weekend and it was only $20 for overnight from H.K. to IL. But everyone has their onw experiances , there is support for the engines through Global Hobby [a known distributor] .

When I mean support is parts availability and availability of the engine. Global Hobby is pretty much the same thing as Hobby People just like Great Plains is pretty much the same thing as Tower Hobbies. Sorry will not pay any one $10 just to use my credit card that is just poor business and if you do that in the states that is a felony!

I know many small stores that charge for using a c.c here in IL . I have made 20-30 purchases with them and I know what and how they charge me . Buy what you want from whoever you want . I`m not telling you to buy from them , just explaining my experiances with them .

Well then they are committing a felony as I use to have a business and know for fact it is a felony to have a surge charge to use a credit card. Even ebay states this in there polices. I do not care who you use but I will not bow to there poor bossiness polices and some like the Vaseline treatment but not I! I am out of here for good.
