Default pullstart/startbox help

Guess this is kind of a newb ? but... Is I have an engine with a pull-start installed, Is it ok to use a start-box or do I need to buy a "blank" backplate?

you can still use the starter box if you have a pull starter on you motor, but it would be a good idea to buy a backplate and do away with the pullstarter completly, and you will find that you will get more power out of the motor with no pullstarter because there is no drag.
