That is pretty much what I have heard on the VG series 2 to a little over 3 gallons maybe 4 tops just like ABN sleeves. Looks like there is good reason most manufactures use ABC! any more input from VG owners.

I own an OS 30VG and it got about 2-gallons in it. It is still tight as it can be. Can't even turn the flywheel by hand. I do know that abl stands for advanced bimetallic liner. Those two metal are nickel and silicium if i'm correct. The same nickasil used in motocross racing. If brokent in correctly those engines can last very long.

Let us know how it is going in 1 to 2 more gallons. As I said about motocross bikes one they are water-cooled and two they do not turn near the RPM and run on pump gas not nitro.

ABL is 2 thin layers of nickel. They used to use 1 thicker layer but it had sporadic peeling problems. What they are using is not nicosel or nikasil or any other way you wnat to spell it.
