RE: XB8 30 Gallons on
I'm running 25% Tornado that I get in 5 Litre cans, and the track has one of the roughest surfaces imaginable, Adam knows the Swindon track and that's where the first 15 went through it, the last 15 have been put through under bashing conditions at various locations and I can guarentee that 3 of those were on the beach. Steering slop is negligable and not a problem.

All the gears are original, that is even one of the spur gears that people were having the teeth break off, nothing wrong with mine though. As for bearings, they too are still original, my trick is that when I build the cars I put some vasaline all over the bearings, this has meant I've never had a bearing sieze and even today when for the first time I took the car to the beach (yep -4'C and I'm down the beach in Scotland bashing) you can see on the forward bearing that the first signs of corrosion are appearing, time to clean them for the first time I think.
