I just ordered my Dad a Hyper 7 TQ Sport with a .21 engine and a Futaba JR radio. It's his first buggy and i thought I'd tell you guys and see what you think. Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-OFNA-H...QQcmdZViewItem

looks ok for a first buggy, not sure about price- $300US would have been better. good buy if its only for some fun but the ability for the hyper 7 to race ain't good. would have looked for a hyper 8 instead.

Do not listen to what "Hyper D" tells you. A Hyper 7 is still a very good racer.
If the seller is correct, then that buggy isn't a tq sport but a Pro version. This of course, would be much better than a tq sport. So if it is true, then you made a very good deal!

You will love that buggy, I have a hyper 7 and its awesome, dont think you have to spend $600USD to get something worthwhile. I know many people that prefer their hyper 7's to losi eights.
Im pretty sure thats a pro kit,

Yeah I agree with the others.
It might not be the most fancy buggy out there but the hyper 7 does everything asked of it. It will win club races with ease if you can drive. Its very tough too.
Usually the thing that lets hyper 7s down is that they are sold in enormous quantities as RTRs in which the electrics are poor. This doesn't count in your case. I have that JR radio and it is very good for the money. No crystals needed

i have the hyper 7 tq sport, but with the upgrades it's now a hyper 7 semi pro.
very good buggy, and you'll like it. it's still a good racer, if it wasn't ofna wouldn't have released a hyper 7 TQ sport RTR again.
