Kyosho MP7.5 - I had my first accident this past weekend and now I'm in need of a new rim. Hit a tree wide open after launching from a 5 foot snow bank. Please don't ask how it happened, too stupid to comment on! Anyway, does anyone have an opinion on which is stronger/better? (Dish vs Spoke)

I've never broken or warped an ofna hyper 7, v spoke, or dual spoke wheel in my 5 years of serious racing. I have seen warped or cracked ofna trulites, and proline dish wheels.

There's no 'better' or 'worse' rims. They're all pretty much the same. I like the Kyosho vented dish wheels because it's easy to see if the wheels lock up when they're not supposed to.

never thought about how strong my rims are, always been using the v-spoke rims that Hobao have and never broken one yet. don't like the look of dish rims, makes the buggy look plain. but heard ppl saying that its easier to control a buggy in the air with dish rims as they reflect air or something like that. don't know, i just use spoked rims

You don't really need to worry, just don't buy any more MP7.5 rims because they are weak. I broke one just jumping. There have been a few corners cut on production of that buggy and the rims are one of them.
I use hyper wheels now and have no problems at all with them.

i've run proline dish (buckled them) and advantege racing spokes (snapped them) if it's dry & loose you will need a slot of some sort to let the dirt clear out of the rim. but other than that i see no real advantage of one over the other.
