It might be too rich on the low end as well. An easy test is too pinch the fuel line right by the nipple on the carb. It should die in 5-10 second, and it shouldn't rev up too high. If it dies in less that 5 seconds, too lean, more than 10, too rich.

I got a few extra glow plugs when I got my glow igniter. Yeah I'm just moving the hps needle and the idle needle some. I haven't moved the lsp very much.
