Default XT2 two speed transmission

I've heard that there's a two speed transmission out there for my XT2! Has anybody made this change to the buggy? If so, what's the diffences, is it a good modification to make?

Could someone please help me find a supplier in the uk, as I can't seem to find it, if not, anywhere???

Yep, that's the one I was thinking about. Thing is....
...it's $79.00 there but £79.00 here ($150)!!!
Why shouldn't I make the switch mate? What's wrong with it?
Cheers

Most people who race prefer a center diff. It's much easier on the drive train and the car will handle better on the track. For bashing it's isn't as big a deal IMO...depending on how you drive of course. Just know that you'll be more likely to strip out the center gears if you're jumping with a 2spd.

I don't race, just bash on the weekends. I run a mammoth ST with 2spd and rarely strip gears...even with jumps. I love it and would never go to a center diff. Not to knock center diffs, I have one in both my mutilator and ravager and have no complaints.

cheers and have fun

Sounds to me that it'd be a good upgrade?
What about changing the number of teeth on the gear? Would that make it a bit quicker?

My new 2spd come with a 51T 1st gear and a 47T 2nd...I replaced the stock kit CB 11/15T with a13/17T...this set-up will give me some more top end. If low end torque is what your looking for stay with a low # CB and you should be able to burn you tire`s off the rim...! If your on pavement slick`s are a must. Stock NUB`S won`t last you`ll burn the center`s out. Good luck

Sounds like what I need!
I honestly can't handle high end speed - aint got the eye to hand co-ordination! But would love to smack the arses off of the lads down the park off of the mark!!!
Would you or anybody have an idea what part numbers i'd need for replacing/upgrading both parts?

Cheers
