Default Hyper 7 or Hyper 8

I been looking at the buggies for little while and just got in to nitro over the winter. I was just wonder what the big differeance is between hyper 7 and hyper 8. If any one know which kit would be good for club racing like every other weekend.

thanks in advance

not too much difference between the 7 and 8. the 8 is just a little bit lighter, has different shock towers and radio box. i hear it turns better also. i have the hyper 7 and it works for me. go with the hyper 7, you wont be dissappointed though. either one is good, but the hyper 7 is nice, and alot of people still drive them.

Do you want the latest model of do you want the older model? The 8 is the latest version.

like 46u said... "you want the old and busted..... or do you want the new hotness?" j/k, the 7 isn't old and busted. if you do get the 7 just know its not that outdated yet, they pretty much based the Hyper ST off of the hyper 7 and a little of the 8.

Hyper 7 all the way if you don't want to be hunting the perfect setup for all your life(or the buggys')!!
The hyper 7 handles much better.I would go with the new Hyper 7 pro version with the upgrades...rcmart.com has it for around $330-$350

I would be slightly inclined towards the hyper 8. That said I own a hyper 7 and I think its a fantastic buggy. Its very durable, cheap and plentiful spares. It has stood up to over a years worth of abuse and unless you look at the bottom of the chassis you wouldn't know it. It even has the original A-arms!
A word on 'pro' spec buggies. Definatley try and go this route. Both the hyper 7 and 8 pro versions come with so much better quality components than the RTRs. I can go into the differences if you wish but just take my word for it, if you race you will save loads of money just getting a pro kit in the first place.
You will be pleased with either though I think the hyper 8 would be my choice if I was buying now.

Yeap that's my statement...and i have both...!!
The 7 it's more stable and seems more planted to the ground than the 8.
Mine it's a bit more heavy since it's the pbs but the c-hub pro would be the same.

well i suppose that's just your experience with both.
i am yet to drive a hyper 8 but i have drove a few hyper 7's (c-hub and pbs) and found it to handle terriably i mean it felt like i was driving a brick on wheels, man they are heavy, but then again that could be because I'm used to my mbx-5r.

lol, "brick on wheels", [sm=lol.gif], that statement will surely bring out the hyper fanboys, let the flame war begin...

the H7 being a "brick on wheels" is subjective. If you are used to a buggy behaving in a certain way, switch the car and the other will automatically feel crap. Each car has its own driving style and thats why i never say a car is better then another based solely on performance.I have a story illustrating this.A fellow racer always raced an inferno mp6 and he left everybody behind at every race.I would give him the best driver award anytime. One day during practice he broke an a-arm and didn't have spare but a friend offered his jammin x1cr as a backup for the main race that day.Well he drove like crap and finished in a wall. Its not that the x1 was crap nor the mp6;its that he knew his mp6 and knew how to drive it fast so i really don't believe the "i test drove something and it was crap" thing. Some cars are easier to drive than others that is a fact but you can't tell which until you've spent some time with it.

On a side note being too light can be a handicap offroad.the smallest bump can be transformed into a ramp.

Oh and i have an H7
