Default 15mm extensions breaking stuff?

I'm not sure whats the cause but I installed a set of ofna 15mm hub extensions on my buggy and I broke two of the aluminum front knuckles, 1 stock and the more beefy ofna ravager one. Usually within the first 5 laps, went to the store, bought two more and boom again on the first lap. Could the added distance of the tires from the hub be putting more force on th knuckles? it makes sence but I just wanted to see if I was the only one. What can resolve this? Thanks.
