Default engine problems....?

i took my hyper 7 to the track to race again today and it isnt running right. im still runnin the mach 28. but when if rist start racing fro the first 5-8 minutes it is tuned perfect, then after about 9 minutes it runs really high. it idles really high also. when i let go of the throttle it is idling high, and coming around turns i cant break at all, and it keeps goin. any ideas? i mean it is tuned realyl good when i first start racing but after a while i have to tune it all over again and it does the same thing. its not runnin to hot. around 233-240 degrees. anyone have any ideas?

S**t engine lol i should no i got one for the first few months mine was fine recently i have been so anoyed with it it never holds a tune when you tune it it will run for about 10 mins max as you said then will start over reving and beeping making a werid noise as if there is an airleak or its to lean but if you put it anyrich it just bogs out. i though it was down to my needle backing out but i have changed orings and they are not moving so i duno.

all i can suggest is what i am going to do put it back to factory start again driving up and down the road.

lol.....yea, i plan to get a new engine this summer sometime, but i dont know wich kind? how is the werks 26? you run a mach 28 to? it does the same thing mine does? it feels liek it gets realyl hot, but when i go to temp it, it is only 233. if i tune it, then it will have to be returned when i start it up for the next race if i leave it sit for a while. ? i dont get it

yeah its a strange engine alright. it came in my hyper 8 rtr i dont plan on changing it until it kicks the bucket though as i just use it for bashing about.

as for you changing enigne when you race would you not rathe rrace in sportsman class or wateva with .21 rather than outlaw with .26 or .28 or what way does your track work?
i no you cant race any enigne over .21 unless in outlaw.

First check your idle screw but it sounds like your LSN is too lean and needs richening. Dont be too concerned with temps either. You tune for performance not to temperature. Richen up the LSN a little.

Do you have a price limit?
Is you track long or short?

If you've got the money go for an RB motor
for budget engines look at SH .21 (sportwerks, nosram, LRP etc), Go .21, or STS .21

Stick to high end race .21s if you want flat out raw speed. On a long track a top ender something like the RB WS7 would be ideal.

Where's the hole again? If the engine does have an air leak this will most likely be why the engine has been running lean. But as you say, it may not be the "hole" problem..

Did you read my post above? It sounds like your LSN is too lean causing you idle to "race" or remain high. Try richening it up a little.
