He he, you are a funny guy[sm=lol.gif] I wrote "AROUND HERE" didn`t I? Do you live around here with your NT1? No I didn`t think so I have certainly left all the other guys were I live in the dust, so...
How can it be that the 2-speed only gives better acceleration when it shifts from 12 tooth up to a 16 bell in second gear, or do you run 17-18 bell in your buggy???? No I didn`t think that either Besides that there are even more gearing options for the Ofna 2-speed, like 13/17 and even 14/18.
If this guy wants a buggy to go fast it is pretty hard to beat a Hyper with a 2-speed with a good engine.
You can go on and on about the removal of the centerdiff, I cant see that anyone have denied that the centerdiff must be sacrified to get in a 2-speed, I know I had to. So what? The goal is not to create the best handling buggy, but the fastest top speed, so...
You need to relax a bit and remember this is just a hobby and is supposed to be fun, if this guy thinks it is fun for him to modify his buggy to go fast in a straight line, so let him enjoy doing this. I have had a lot of fun with mine
ok, to take your points 1 by 1. Fair enough, you are faster than your friends with your two speed. Round a track? I doubt it. Do I run a 18t CB, no, because top speed isn't my thing, nor is it the 'thing' of any serious buggy owner. BUT I can put an 18t CB on my car and have the same top end, therefore, 2 speed equals acceleration. See my point? By the way, with a torquey engine (C6BB or something), 16t CB are fine for acceleration and top end. If this guy wants a buggy that goes 70mph fine, but our point is that this is not what a buggy is for. And OK, you're right, maybe we should relax a bit, but buggies are racing machines, and most of us are racers, what is fast on the track is different. Lastly...what did you expect me to come back with aftre you accused us of guessing? I been running RC cars for 20 years, so give me a break. Capiche?

Ok, capiche, no hard feelings. I know I would get destroyed running on a usual buggytrack, but I just wanted my buggy to go really fast on the road. We do have some bumpy roads here and Traxxas 4tech onroad cars have to little suspension and height to be able to follow my buggy. We do have fun and that is all that matters. Hell, I just put on some big Ofna Blazer stadium wheels and more spacers on my shocks, converting my 2-speed Hyper into a Monster buggy, he he[8D] I will run in a gravelpit tomorrow against LST2`s Savages and whatnot, I know this is not what a buggy is ment for, but I don`t care about that. I do it for fun. PS we do not have any buggytracks or other tracks for that matter around here, so I like to think "out of the box" a little
