Default Need quick answer (Mugen MBX5R)

I'm at my local hobby shop/track right now, they have on the rack a JConcepts MBX-5 heavy duty body, and a Proline Crowd Pleazer 2.0 for the MBX5/5R

Will the JConcepts body for the MBX5 fit the MBX5R without modification?

Otherwise I'll get the Proline body.

the 5R is the 5 with larger shocks, and some other mods, but none that I see that would make the body different.

I went ahead with the Proline body, I already have a JConcepts that at my buddies being painted a sick true fire paint job, I wanted another body for practice though.

I just painted it silver, I'll lay out some decals on it later.

What a piece of universal crap. $28 wasted on that Proline body (Designed for all models of MBX5R + Xray XB8)

I had to chop off half the body to even make it fit without rubbing on steering linkages, had to cut the front nose piece off, just shy of the front hole for the mounting post, I can barely open the fuel tank I had to cut the opening a little larger.

Proline Crowd Pleazer 2.0 for Mugen/Xray gets my thumbs down.

J concepts makes a body directly made for the R , it fits perfect! I also just got the reckward tuning body that comes pre cut / drilled out fot the 5r , looks hot. if your local hobby shop can't get it look at some of the on-line shops. the pre cut thing is nice because alot of cracks start where you made a cut. I use the crowd pleazer 2.0 and i'm 100% satisfied i really don't see what you're talkin about the markins line up perfectly not to mention that the body was initialy made for the X5 line of cars and the XB8 just happened to work with it so it's not really universal like you say.

i had a few proline bodies, never again, j concepts are much better in my opinion. the proline ones never lasted as long as the j concepts ones.
