I have an Ofna Hyper 8 air filter for my buggy, and I've been running in some really dusty areas lately. As a result, I would like to purchase an Outerwears filter cover, but I cannot seem to find one made for it. Has anyone used one with the Hyper 8 oval filter?

I run on real dusty tracks with my Hyper 8 and when I keep both inner and pre filter oiled my inner gets very little dirt if any on it. If I am at a race more then one day I change the outer filters at less once.

Do you have the Ofna's outer filter going over the black plastic, or does it sit in between the cap and base?

I have both the inner and pre filter (outer) just like it comes from the factory. I oil them both.

Why don't you just get an air cleaner that WILL fit into an Outerwares cover. Try a different filter setup with plain old round elements. What good does an elliptical air filter really do?

It is made to be low profile and still have the same air intake area. Makes it fit under the body better.

I will say they make a good buggy but better then what as I am not so sure. All so I was not ripping I was stating a fact. [X(]
