Bumpin an old thread...
I have had my XT2 Pro for about 2 months now and it hooks along and it is still running a little rich..... working it down slowly.
Mine has the full carbon upper deck and the .28 donk in her and have had a few crashes but it comes back for more.... I hit a tree about 7 foot in the air the other day, took a nice chunk out of the tree.
I agree in the fact that the bodies on them need to be better looking but who gives a $%!T when it's copping a thrashing.

Where do I start.. I'm pretty unlucky when it comes to "bashing" my car around.
I've had my Xt2 for a couple years now.
I've destroyed pretty much everything on the car at least once.
-3 differential housings (rear)
- stock engine blew itself up (replaced with a Diablo .28 by Peak Performance)
- 4 lower suspension arms, 2 upper (front)
- 3 drive shafts (various)
- 2 front shocks 1 rear shock
- complete body replacement to the hop up alum 5150 part.
- multiple servos (I think 4-5)
- servo mounting plate
- steering mount
My BIGGEST crash was when I was running the car in a huge empty gravel parking lot. The only stationary object in the whole lot was a 10 inch steel pole and a large trash can. I was standing in such a position that the pole was blocked from view by the trash can. Well, needless to say, I hit the pole doing 40(mph) completely destroying the whole front end, driveshafts, shocks, and body of the car....
It was a sad day. but a bit of work, and $120 later, the car's in tip top shape again, still bashing to this day...

Have replaced the steering servo (KIA second run hit a rock at like 45kmh) it ran for a bit then chucked it into a sweeping turn and that was it, I opened it to see the damage and it was destroyed. Replaced with Hitec HS 5645 and 6.0V batt pack.
In need of a new wing as it didn't like the end to end cart wheel after comming off a jump a bit sideways, will replace with one of the swept down style proline ones.
The tree hit was easy just had to unbolt the side protection from the chassis to clear out the chunk of gum tree it collected and decided to hold on to.

ok... so I guess I've been somewhat lucky when it comes to bashing the XT2 around......
only things I've broken are 2 stock wings, stock exhaust pipe, front upper & lower arm and burned 2 throttle servos (receiver was to blame for that)... bent the heck out of a chassis, so had to buy a new one of course. Since the receiver crapped out I bought a 3ch digital FM radio... which is working out better than I thought! I also replaced the one-way bearing twice on the 457.
I'm quite surprised that I've never broken the wing mount... that thing should have shattered to pieces plenty a times.
Sold the 457 and went back to a 24.7 for a couple of months... but I dropped a new (new to me, so slightly used) 457 a couple of hours ago lol... traded some ramdon RC parts for it.
Added front sway bar and bought some nice shiny blue parts... hex hubs, servo saver and an SH pipe that's working out great!!! Best upgrade has got to be the piece of pink fuel line, lol!
I'm sure i'm forgetting to pointing out some more shtuff but oh well...
pix attached I took last week... went back to plastic arms, the aluminum arms have had some work done and are now thinner and lighter, I guess I can post pics later; they look a lot better!

Got bored and pulled the plethora of crappy stickers off the body (nitro,4wd ones)
Don't know why I didn't do it a whole lot sooner.
