Default XB8 pit tip!!

Anyone having traction problems on bumpy tracks with the XB8 or XB8EC??? Just simply remove the rear chassis brace, this should help the rear wheels stay planted on the ground under hard acceleration. Dont worry about the big jumps, this thing is one tough hombre!!! XRAY ALL THE WAY!!!!!

I would not run it like that on big jumps. Try a softer rear swaybar instead.

Not advisable, only if you can get yourself a new chassis after every other race. Use the composite brace in the rear, use 4k or 5k diff oil in the rear, use at least 45 wt. shock oil, rear toe-in at 2 degrees and camber at 3 degrees.

That's my rough/bumpy track set-up...which has yet to fail me

Yep, I second this. Removing the rear chassis brace could be a HUGE mistake on your next bad landing. Instead remove the rear sway bar, it's what the team drivers do. Don't forget with swaybars, that any stiffening decreases grip at that end and increases grip at the OTHER end.

I have yet to bend the chassis even on a bad landing, Ive tried all the things like different shock oil, no swaybar, droop, you name it Ive tried it. The guy at my local hobby shop heard of guys doing this and told me about it, Ive raced almost all summer like this and have had absoultly no problems what so ever. And dont worry ... if I bend the chassis Ive already got another!!! Its only money!

Has the original noob that posted this thread just mistaken his/her words and said brace instead of swaybar. I really hope so.

Or use lighter shock oil.

I also refer you to my previous post regarding chassis braces.

Or if you have the shocks at a steeper angle such as in postion 1 or 2 this will also help
