Default Another engine choices question

I have narrowed my selection down to these 4 engines and was lookinf or some suggestions. The track i race on has a lot of tight turn leading into doubles and a couple triples. So i need some torque to get me through the jumps. These are with in my price range and i cant really go much higher than what these are priced at. Let me know why you voted for the motor you did.

Thanks!

sts just suck. not too great on power, poor quality, no support. have some buddys that broke theirs within the first 8 tanks.

A .32 isnt race legal, you need a .21. Out of those options either get the RB or Werks, both good choices.

I have 4 STS engines some with well over 4 gallons on them so is it the engine or maybe the end user? I have no problem keeping up with engines that cost twice as much. Yes you have to take your time breaking them in and know what you are doing.

I have a STS D21T and I have a little over a gallon through it. Great power and speed for the money. A little too much power for the track I go to. I can't see spending $300.00 + on an engine. Especially if you have a family and mortgage where that money could be better spent.

STS engines are usually very powerful for the price, but are also low quality in terms of both materials and machining tolerances, so they are a bit of a hit or miss, some engines are made just right, rip up the track power wise, and last for months, others will break con rods or the rear bearings will fail, or will have poor performance, if you get a good one and break it in right they're the best value for money you can get.

personally i am an RB person, so naturally my vote go's to the RB, they are renown for there quality and performance.

Most have gotten lucky 4 STS with out a problem. Yes I do recommend replacing the bearings about every 2 gallons which stock ones cost less then $20 for both or do like I do and put ceramics in. I have even heard a lot about bearings and rods in high dollar engines like the OS V Spec failing so is it just STS low quality or could it be the power out put of a high performance engine? One thing for sure dollar for dollar a STS will out run anything in its price range.

Another bonus with ceramics is that should you store your engine for a while, it will be less likely to rust up if you don't give it regular ARO.

I agree and most times like in the V Spec ceramics are cheaper then the stock replacement. Do not get me wrong as I like my V Spec and when time comes I will be putting ceramics in it to just like my STS engines. But I all ways use plenty of after run oil just super cheap insurance.
