the associated buggy seems to be a good design, and it very competitive, as GS is not. Theres more support for the RC8 too.

The GS IMO is the stronger design, and the grief I've had with my RC8 has put me off them till the next run is out.

But if you do a SEARCH there is threads on this topic.

Do you want other recommendations other then the 2 you have listed or are you set on one of those two. Out of the two you have listed RC8 but I recommend the Hyper 8.5 pro kit.

I'm buying one of these buggies. In my area I have support for the GS only. If I choose the RC8 I have to order everything.

My choice was the CL1 due to the support that I have in my area. I think it will be a good car...

Oh, that sucks dude. Same thing here i am with Mugen. I want the MBX5 very much but however, Kyosho rocks as well . I recommend you buying a hyper. They are cheap and good in bashing (racing as well).

You're choosing between two of the worst cars out there, why not try a jammin or a kyosho or mugen? the rc8 just stinks, i broke mine 3 weekends in a row and so did my friends, we all sold ours and went back to jammins and i can't believe i ever left that car.

the rc8 is a joke.

I wouldn't be that harsh. TA have tried a bit to hard at making the car nimble and flickable as their background is battery powered 1/10 scale which is focused more on lightweight performance, this has come at the expense of dursability with their 1/8 scale. Team Magic learned that very quickly, been fast is important but been able to finish is a lot lot lot more important.

The RC8 is a good buggy but I wouldn't pay the money they want for it. Take the X1 or a Hyper 8.5 anyday. Stronger, cheaper and just as fast.

Based on his experience with it.

I think out of the 2 choices you gave us you picked the buggy that will always get you to the finish line.

I'd rather come in last with the GV than have initals you get in the time slot....DNF!

Bob, Have you ever seen a CL-1?
Its a huge improvement over the old storm, which itself was a decent buggy in its day.
We know your not so clued up on 1/8th so don't make yourself look stupid by argueing about what you no little about.
The CL-1 is perfectly capable, even if its not the top choice of most.
In the right hands you would not be coming last
