Default RedCat Shockwave

Where does the RedCat Shockwave stand with all the other buggys as to speed and reliability. What are your opinions on it? I have a guy offering me one for my tmaxx and I wanted to get into buggy racing because that's all they do at my hobby shop. Any info will be greatly appriciated.

Thanks

Stay with your truck and go with something competitve. Parts for that buggy will be hard to come across in any hobby shop.

That truck in now way can compete with the 5r, 8ight, 8.5, 777, RC8, or anything like that... I'd suggest waiting for something better.

the higher end ofna's are excellent. try to stick with what your lhs has parts for. how far are you from B&B Hobbies on hwy 19?, its north of hwy 52, they got lots of stuff there.

go in your lhs and ask the owner what he recomends for a great buggy and because you bought from him he will hook you up on tuning and problems your going to run into down the road either way.. the knowledge you receive at your lhs can be very valuable..but if you run out and buy something online i wouldnt expect anything from them including the fact that they wont have parts.. and no matter what you will need parts sometime..

Redcat's shockwave is 1/10 scale.

Its parts are fragile and scarce unless you buy thru redcat or one of their few dealers.

i have a shockwave and it's kind of junky. i'm not saying i don't like it. i think its only good for a start up buggy. i'm still using it until i get my associated rc8 and get it running.
yeah it's a 1/10 scale. wrong area. i did it to when i just joined. (people yell at you way too much for it)
