really tight/stiff steering..?

i bought a jammin x1cr factory team buggy...withougth any radio or servos..but the steering is ssoo tight on this thing.? i cant figure out what makes it so stiff and tight? could it be the servo savers?...how woul di adjust them? i mean its pretty stiff...i dunno how a servo would steer it..

Id check out the bearings in the steering posts. Then double check everything eles on the front end. Parts that move, check them out. If you can move them by hand then they should be good, move on to the next part. So on and so forth.
If you used loctite, make sure it didnt get on movable parts causing them to stick. It would be my guess that a bearing in the steering post is the cause, but you wont find out till you tear it apart.

steering post? do you mean the servo savers? or wat? it is pretty tight, i can move it by hand, but i think it would be hard for a servo, and the battery....it def. wouldnt last long.

disconnect the knuckles from the turnbuckles and see if they rotate freely, they probably will, so my money is not on the steering post bearings/bushes, but more like the screws that hold the steering plate to the Servo saver have not been fitted correctly and that there are 2 bushes and/or washers missing from there.
Also make sure the plate is not warped and catching on the front gearbox where the diff pinion goes through.
