If it was for serious racing, i would choose the inferno but for bashing, go for OFNA. A Hyper 8.5 should be perfect, i think. Other opinions?

Exactly. The Inferno is a pure racer. It would be a terrible injustice to buy that one for bashing. Since I race my Inferno, and all my other models for that matter, I couldnt tell you which is good for bashing. See which one is the most reliable, or most indestructible? Bashing equals broken parts.

Of the ones you listed the Ravager is the best basher.
Also look at the hyper 7, a very good all rounder and incredibly strong.

i would go for the hyper 8 or 8.5, i ve got the lx-1 and its a great buggy but hyper 8 will be better, the reason i got the lx-1 is the price and performance, so far it hasnt let me down, there are other lx-1 owners which will say the same

For bashing, [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMZU6&P=]Hot Bodies Lightning[/link]. I just did probably 50 jumps the other day, with plenty of side landings, upside-down, etc. and finally broke off the wing after about 5 tanks. Before that I hit a pile of bricks, head-on, at full speed... it just flipped and kept going (nothing broken). There is a [link=http://www.bigsquidrc.com/reviews/hot_bodies_l2rr.php]review on Big Squid[/link] that also attests to its durability.

The inferno sports series is not exactly racers. I would call them bashers because of the price. The MP777 is the racing series.
