i am going to buy a jammin .28 for one of my buggies. is this a bad idea and does anyone know the speeds it will reach in the buggie. I plan to do track runs and some bashing maybe on the street.

The .28 is a bit overkill for your buggy. I would recomend you go with a 21. The .28 is a fuel hog and having a typical small fuel tank in the buggy, your run times will be significantly shorter. The Jammin .21 is only a few bucks more than the .28 and is a powerful mill. Just an opinion.

Bad Idea! Only because that motor has WAAAAAY to much power for a buggy. I have a picco .28 (which is the same motor) in my truggy and it is tough to handle. Get a 21. I just got a OS .21VG for my buggy and is supposed to be a pretty good motor for some track time and messing around. I have not ran it yet so cannot say for myself.
