Default 1/8 buggy wheels

Are all 1/8 buggy wheels the same size? I am refering to the nut that fits into the back of the rim. I am still sort of new to this and forgive me if this is a noobish question. I am looking at tires on ebay and a lot of them just say tires for a 1/8 buggy with no specific size listed.

Thanks
Nate

Yes, they will fit most 1/8 scale buggies. You have to be careful though. I run a couple of Jammin X-CR's and found that proline and some other style rims have a slightly smaller inner diameter. This causes the rim to rub on the ends of my tierods, so I have to use the ofna/jammin rims.

What he said^^. You should be fine using any 1/8 wheel unless you own an Ofna.. Pro-line wheels seem to rub a little but panther wheels work fine (repeat of what hrdcoreglf had said).

Most of them are all the same, but you do have to be carefull of the offset. I run a Raze, and all Ofna wheels work on it, but some other brands do not.

A buggy wheel with a smaller inner diameter? Does that mean they are cone shaped?

Or is offset? Whilst on the topic of wheels, do they come with different offsets?

Yes, they come with different offsets. Most brands list the offset on the packaging.

All 1/8th Buggies use 17mm Hexes

And most 1/5th use a 2.2ish sized wheel with 17mm hexes
