Default Stumbled on a new optional part from Mugen

Mugen is releasing a hard coated MBX5R chassis in the next couple months, I contacted Mugen about it and they report that it's true, I found the information on Carolinas R/C.

So are they coming out with a whole new car soon, or is this another .5 increment?... or both?

I don't think anyone knows what they are doing for a new car, there hasn't been anything I've heard about them coming out with one. But this is Mugen after all, they don't need to pull an Xray and release something new every 4 months, what they have now is still winning races.

I've been following Mugen since about 1998 and they don't usually ever pull bad moves when it comes to products. They stick with what they do best, and perfect it where it needs perfecting.

What am I supposed to be looking at here... I see a bunch of driver interviews, Adam Drake and such, what does this have to do with a new Mugen?

Dani Vegas interviews involves a little bit of discussion about it but nt much heres a quote from news page

"Though this would get some interset and as the team have started to hear some interesting rumours i thought id pass them on to you.......

The first is that the car is going to have large volume shocks but not in the standard big bore sense, got no specifics yet but expect big things in this area,

Also a extremley revised drive train with completely different ratios possibly running up to 19t clutch bells,

The only other details that have been mentioned so far are of extremly light wieght allowing for ballast to be added exacly where its needed.

Will keep updating this thread as and when we get more details but dont think we are very far away from seeing the first team cars

Until then

Shake and bake"
