Hello all,i'm new and looking forward to exchanging idea's.Been out of the r/c scene for a couple of decades and with my son's prompting have just bought a hyper 7 and like it, although i need some practice.It runs a two speed box now and upgraded servo's plus a new race tuned 28 instead of the old mac.I've two questions i hope your forum members can help me with...actually it's three..is there a discussion forum about the accessories we buy for our models?.Firstly i've bought a rotostart and it's slipping,pulled it and the rear engine case plate off to clean the oil off the shaft,and noticed that the drive gear on the rotostart was rooted as in..can you buy an upgraded(steel)gear or hard anodise a new original?? hoping someone has an answer.Secondly specs on this engine,it really snaps when you pull the trigger and factory settings are so close,but what is it?..people here call it a hyper eight and it came in a blue hyper engine cardboard box with the H-2812 ticked,other than that i've no more info.Can't find anything on the net about it either using those search words.Just spent a few hours in the shed locking up the diffs with some silocone so i can crank it up and do some nice power slides but can't start it yet,so may have saved myself some crash money.
